  • Whether you are on a tight budget or plan to spend all the money, you will still want to see Plaza de España. You can spend just a half an hour at this marvelous monument, or really take your time to discover the details. Check out all the hand painted tiles. Suffice to say it is really pretty and offers plenty of Instagram moments. And it is totally free to visit.

  • Ride a bike or walk along the Paseo del Rio Gualquivir and enjoy the peaceful views of the water and the cute houses and cafes lining the banks on the opposite side in Triana.
  • For a fun evening out without spending a lot of money, hang out at Lonja de Feria. This refurbished food market has tapas bars and even live music some days of the week.
  • Wander through the colorful Triana neighborhood. Cross the Puente de Isabel II bridge and stroll through the small alleyways of the area. Perhaps you’d like to stop into the famous mercado here too. If you’d like to do a food tour or cooking class, check these out.
  • Check out the Metropol Parasol, also knows as Las Setas (mushrooms). You have to pay a few euros to go in the museum or access the roof but you can check out the interesting structure from the ground without paying a dime.

  •  Entrance to the Hospital de los Venerables is free on the first Thursday of the month from 10am to 2pm. The baroque 17th-century building was a residence and hospital for aged and ill priests. It is a beautiful building and hosts several Velázquez paintings as well as others.
  • If you’d like to visit the famous Cathedral of Sevilla and see the tomb of Cristobal Colon but you don’t want to pay the entrance fee you can attend Sunday Mass. However, it is well worth the entrance fee to visit this UNESCO Heritage Site. Climb to the top of the tower for amazing views.

  • Sevilla’s Alcazar Real is definitely the most famous sight in town. The beautiful Mudejar structures and lovely gardens should not be missed. But what if you can’t afford the entrance ticket?
